Three students from Carroll County Public Schools were named as second-place honorees in the 2021 Congressional Art Competition for Maryland’s 8th District. Only 17 students from across the district were recognized as second-place honorees out of 125 high school students from more than 30 schools.

  • Emily Stillings, Liberty High School - Every Which Way (digital photography)
  • Hamza Woodson, Winters Mill High School - Loss of the Mind (graphite, colored pencil, China marker)

Their work will be displayed in Congressman Jamie Raskin’s Capitol Hill and Rockville District offices.
